ACHIEVING THE VISION: THE FUTURE FOR INVOLVE

To achieve the ambitions set out in the strategy Involve needs to reform the way in which it works. We have set out our vision of the unique role Involve can play in public policy debates concerning public participation, and we have considered what this means in practical terms for the way in which we work.

For the past two years we have been building Involve's internal structure. This has allowed us to develop a sense of purpose and identity as an organisation. Now it is time to take the show on the road; for Involve to progress as an organisation we need to focus on building our external profile and capacity to engage others in our work. Our challenge for the years ahead is to become an organisation that is at the forefront of public debate, leading and informing understanding of the role public participation can play in transforming British society.

What do you think about our Vision for the Future?

  • Do you agree with the statement above?
  • Is there anything you do not agree with?
  • Is there anything you think we should add?
  • Is there anything you do not understand?

This seems to focus on short-term changes and development needs rather than being something which directs the organisation over the next few years, what happens when you have launched the "public profile", where is it going to go, what national/local profile are you aiming for?
